Carrie joined Vermilion & District Housing Foundation as Financial Officer on June 18, 2021. Throughout her 18 year career she has worked in several companies as Senior Financial Accountant, Branch Controller, Recruitment & Business Development Manager, and Accounting Manager.
She holds a Diploma in Business Administration with a major in Accounting and Financial Management from Mount Royal College in Calgary, Alberta. She is goal-oriented with a demonstrated track record of leading the preparation and analysis of financial reports to summarize and forecast financial position.

Resident Care Manager
Tabitha is responsible for all resident-focused care. Tabitha has been with the Vermilion & District Housing Foundation for 12 years. She holds Medical Office Assistant diploma and Health Care Aide certification. She brings to the organization a wealth of healthcare experience and enriches our care team in the areas if staff development and education. Tabitha represents the Foundation in the healthcare community within the Town of Vermilion and in surrounding areas.

Ryan oversees the Independent Retirement Living facility and Supportive Housing facility in building fire & safety planning, emergency disaster planning, facilities maintenance programs, building security & surveillance systems and building operations. Ryan has many years experience in carpentry, site maintenance and emergency services and has a vast knowledge of building codes and facility operations.

Taylor has joined Vermilion & District Housing Foundation as Recreation Director starting on June 14, 2021.
Taylor attended University of Calgary where she earned a degree in Bachelor of Community Rehabilitation. Taylor also attended Red Deer College where she qualified as an Occupational and Physical Therapist Assistant. In her new role she will be responsible for activities program development and will evaluate the success of the recreation therapeutic activities for Vermilion Valley Lodge Retirement and Supportive Housing communities.

Director of Facilities, Seniors Housing
Joe is responsible for all facilities management and building operations for our government housing portfolio in the Town of Vermilion, the County of Vermilion River which include the hamlet of Islay, the village of Dewberry and the M.D of Wainwright which include the Town of Wainwright, the village of Irma, the village of Edgerton and the village of Chauvin. Joe holds many years experience in facility management, building life cycle operations experience and business acumen. Joe is also on our local Volunteer Fire Department and is a certified First Aid/CPR instructor.

Environmental Service Manager
Shirley has been with the Vermilion & District Housing Foundation for over 38 years and is currently responsible for the housekeeping and laundry facilities operation at Vermilion Valley Lodge. We want to call her the “Mother of the Lodge” as she is loyal and very dedicated to the Foundation. Back in her day she oversaw the Dietary Department.

Chef Murray brings 30 plus years of experiences in hospitality working in a variety of hotels, Restaurant and Lloydminster Golf and Curling Club. Chef Murray brings cooking expertise in Casual and Fine Dining both restaurant style and Banquet Operations. He started to learn his culinary arts of Cooking since 1993 and have earned his Certified Journeyman Red Seal Alberta Interprovincial Standard of Excellence. Chef Murray will be working in collaboration with the Dining Service Manager and Recreation Director in special events planning as well as oversee day to day management of kitchen operations, and most importantly responsible for the achievement of consistent high quality food presentation to the residents and their families.

Community Manager, Seniors Housing
Brenda will be joining Vermilion & District Housing Foundation as Community Manager, Seniors Housing starting on January 1, 2021. She has worked with seniors for the past 10 years in the Town of Wainwright and she has the compassion for and understanding of the needs of seniors.
Brenda is education through Reeves Business College in Accounting Fundamentals, Sage 50 Accounting Level 1 and Level 2. In her new role she will be working out of Vermilion & District Housing Wainwright Office located in Lions Frontier Manor. She will be providing direct oversight of the Seniors Housing portfolio in the Town of Wainwright, the Village of Edgerton, the village of Chauvin and the Village of Irma.
