Affordable Housing for Families in Need

Subsidized Housing that Nurtures the Wellbeing of Children and Caregivers

To ensure that children and families have a secure place to call home, Vermilion & District Housing Foundation (VDHF) oversees and manages subsidized community housing in Vermilion, Irma, and Edgerton. Available to low-income families facing financial hardships and a rising cost of living, these homes are designed to provide affordable, safe living conditions across our communities. VDHF assesses and prioritizes applications for low-income housing based on the greatest level of need—so support is provided where it’s needed most. Rent, which includes heat, water, and sewer expenses, is based on 30% of the household’s total annual income. For more information on processes and availability, please contact us.
