Steeped in a heritage of excellence, Vermilion & District Housing Foundation (VDHF) is a not-for-profit housing management body that has proudly celebrated and served our residents since 1960. We offer subsidized community housing for low-income families, independent, apartment-style housing for seniors, an inviting retirement community at Vermilion Valley Lodge, and supportive living options (CCH Type B) for those who require continuous access to healthcare. More Than a Retirement Residence, We Nurture Safety, Wellness, and Community

Our mom needed extra care and we didn’t want to live on our own. She moved into DSL3 (Continuing Care Home Type B) and my brother and I moved into the Lodge. I like living here because of the food, the people, and the residents!

One of the best things about moving into a retirement facility is not having to cook or clean up. I love cooking, but I hate the cleanup and dealing with grocery shopping. Here, I don't have to worry about any of that.

The community here is amazing. I've reconnected with old friends and made some new ones too. And there's always something going on, I particularly enjoy the music programs and other entertainment.

Moving into Frontier Manor was a move we made without hesitation. We were ready to downsize from our house, and Frontier Manor provided the perfect solution. We opted for a suite on the second floor, and we couldn't be happier with our choice.

The community here is fantastic. I've made great friends among the other tenants, and we regularly come together for dinners, BBQs, and card games. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, thanks in no small part to the wonderful manager who does an excellent job of keeping everything running smoothly.
