More About Heritage Villas
In 1980, the Government of Alberta recognized the urgent need to provide affordable, secure housing to low-income seniors. In response, they built Dewberry Heritage Villa I—a fourplex of self-contained apartments designed specifically for seniors in our community. In 1990, to meet the growing demand for affordable housing, Dewberry Heritage Villa II was constructed, expanding the options available for seniors in need. On January 1, 2021, Dewberry Heritage Villas became part of Vermilion & District Housing Foundation. This transition strengthened the community’s ability to provide secure, independent living options for seniors. Today, Dewberry Heritage Villas remains an essential resource, providing seniors with greater levels of support and peace of mind.
