Choosing to move into a retirement residence was a decision I made without hesitation. My only concern was losing my independence, but I quickly realized I was mistaken—I still maintain a strong sense of independence here!

Looking back, I wish I had made the move sooner. I can't get enough of the activities, the excellent housekeeping, the delicious food, and the wonderful residents. And the best part? I'm meeting and connecting with people I wouldn't have had the chance to otherwise.

I wholeheartedly recommend Vermilion Valley Lodge to anyone considering a move to a retirement home. Here, you can maintain your independence while having the support of both staff and fellow residents whenever needed.

One of the best things about moving into a retirement facility is not having to cook or clean up. I love cooking, but I hate the cleanup and dealing with grocery shopping. Here, I don't have to worry about any of that.

The community here is amazing. I've reconnected with old friends and made some new ones too. And there's always something going on, I particularly enjoy the music programs and other entertainment.

As I've learned, when you reach a certain age, it's worth considering a retirement home like Vermilion Valley Lodge, especially if you're on your own. There's help available if you need it, and it's comforting to know you're not alone.

Deciding to move into a retirement facility was a decision we made out of necessity and (with) the encouragement of friends who already called this place home. With my wife needing more care than I could provide alone, we knew we needed help.

As a full-service seniors assisted living facility, Vermilion Valley Lodge offers three gourmet meals each day—breakfast, lunch, and dinner that are prepared from scratch by our culinary team and Executive Chef. Our menus include fresh, seasonal ingredients, are tailored to the tastes and feedback of our residents, and are approved by a registered dietitian to meet Canada’s nutritional guidelines. If you’re feeling snacky, all residents have unlimited access to beverages and snacks 24 hours a day. Vermilion Valley Lodge also offers specially prepared event and holiday meals, including our signature family Christmas grand buffet.

Our new, modern Wing A and Wing B suites are designed to meet and exceed building code requirements for safety and security in seniors assisted living facilities. All accommodations include a kitchenette and a walk-in shower. Single bachelor or queen, one-bedroom couple suites are available. Our Wing D and Wing E resident suites bring old-world charm and comfortable living. Each include a bath tub and shower combination for the ultimate assisted living home.
