Showing their appreciation to the community and support for our area seniors, the Western Communities Foundation is pleased to contribute $5,000 to the Vermilion & District Housing Foundation Capital Campaign.
The Vermilion branch of Western Financial made the request on behalf of the VDHF Capital Campaign. Helen Whitney, Vermilion Chairman of the Western Communities Foundation, was pleased to accounce that the application was successful. “It’s a very important project for our community and one that we are very happy to support.” Said Whitney.
The grants are available for building infrastructure in our community and the Vermilion branch has been successful in securing funding for projects including improvements to the ball diamonds and now, the seniors’ housing project.
Brenda Lee, Volunteer Chair of the VDHF Capital Campaign, accepted the donation from Helen Whitney, Vermilion Chair of the Western Communities Foundation, Kaitlyn Younger, Vermilion Team Lead and Sheri Heller, CAO of the Vermilion & District Housing Foundation.
